The Bourgeois family is a venerable family that spans ten generations. "Henri Bourgeois" is a pioneer who spread the wine of the Sancerre district to Paris, and is familiar with the complex soil of the Sancerre district and makes wine that makes use of it. The quality of the wine produced from the soil has a worldwide reputation and has earned a reputation as a producer representing the Sancerre area. At Sancerre Les Baronnes Blanc Henri Bourgeois, I noticed early on the peculiarities of Sancerre's complex soils. To the east of the village, along the Loire River, the "Silex" (chalky) soils, containing large flint flakes, produce great white wines with great minerality and strength. Clay-lime soil mixed with Silex (65% clay, 35% lime). This soil gives the wines fruity and vibrant typical varietal character of ripe citrus and white flowers. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 15-18°C to preserve its aromatic potential. It is then aged on the lees for 5 months before bottling. A delicate yet powerful wine with notes of lime, apple and flint. Well balanced with ripe tropical yellow citrus fruits.
